Stories have a profound effect on children's lives and there are many ways to share stories. Mandy loves musical stories, especially the ones featured on Tell Me a Story! This track features Matt Morris improvising a story inspired by Pete the Cat on the piano, Kodi Hutchinson telling a story that is reminiscent of elephants on the bass and Jim Johnston sharing a tale about bugs on the drum kit.

This tune teaches preschool and elementary-aged kids about stories, jazz and self-expression. With literary references, it gives children the tools and musical vocabulary to express themselves in non-verbal ways. It demonstrates the structure of jazz solos and helps children learn how to identify different instruments.
